Tambuwal commends security agencies in Sokoto for their synergy

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has commended all the security agencies operating in the state for the synergy among them which he said resulted in the improvement of security situation in the state.

Tambuwal stated this on Thursday when he hosted the Chief of Training and Operations Defence Headquarters, Abuja, Major General Leo Irabor who paid him a courtesy visit at government house Sokoto.

The Governor disclosed that his administration has for long been working closely with members of the Armed forces for the maintenance of peace and stability assuring that such close working relationship would continue to be maintained for the benefit of the society.

He commended service chiefs for their efforts in improving security situation in the country thereby attracting direct foreign investments.

He further pointed out that the interaction between the Government and Armed forces would go a long way in providing an avenue for comparing notes for the proper understanding of situations.

Earlier, the Chief of Training and Operations Defence Headquarters Abuja Major General Leo Irabor said he was in the state on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff to interact with the Armed forces.

The Army Chief thanked the state government for its support to the Armed forces and urged the governor to continue with the intervention with a view to addressing the security challenges.

He explained that provision of security is a partnership between government, Armed forces and communities as such thanked the people of the state for their numerous support to the Armed forces.

Major General Irabor acknowledged the state government interventions in various ways no doubt assisted in boosting the operations of the Armed forces.
