Tambuwal appoints Umar as SSG, retains Chief of staff

THE Governor of Sokoto State, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has approved the appointment of Hon Saidu Umar as the Secretary to the Sokoto State Government.

This is contained in a statement signed by Abubakar Shekara, Director General, Media and Public Affairs to the Governor and released to Journalists in Sokoto on Thursday.

According to the statement, “Umar is also the Ubandoma of Sokoto, was the State Commissioner of Finance in the last Executive Council that was recently dissolved by the Governor,” he explained.

Similarly, the Governor, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal also approved the reappointment of Alhaji Muktar Umar Magori as Chief of Staff to the Governor.

Alhaji Muktar Magori is the current Chief of Staff to the Governor from the last tenure. The Governor congratulates the two appointees and enjoins them to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the people while praying Allah to guide them in their assigned tasks.
