Is it true that when someone eats sweets and sweet things, the person will end up with diabetes? Also, will eating before sleeping contribute to diabetes?

Mosh (by SMS)

Usually eating sweets does not cause diabetes. Although there is no direct link between eating sweets and developing diabetes, there is an indirect risk. People who eat sweets often and in large quantities will store unnecessary calories in the body as fat. As a result, body weight increases. Increasing obesity increases a person’s chances of developing diabetes.

So, cutting back on sweets early on can prevent calorie gain and obesity and reduce the risk of diabetes.

Eating before sleeping does not directly lead to diabetes, but poor eating habits, such as consuming high-sugar or high-fat foods regularly, can contribute to weight gain and insulin resistance. Maintaining a balanced diet and avoiding large meals before bedtime can help manage blood sugar levels.
