Suspected ritualists kill two-year-old girl in Bauchi

Suspected ritualists late Thursday evening, murdered and removed some body parts of a 2-year-old girl in Ningi LGA of Bauchi.

The mutilated body of the 2-year-old girl was discovered without the two eyes removed as well as the vagina within Ningi township days after she was declared missing by her parents.

Reports gathered revealed that the two-year-old Maryam Danlami had been missing for 2 days before her mutilated body was found dumped along a path in Ningi.

Her parents are residents of Sabuwar Denawa within Ningi township but got the news of the dead body of the girl through some Almajiri boys who are in a Qur’anic school in the area.

The matter was said to be reported to the Police authorities in Ningi who immediately went to the scene, evacuated the mutilated body of Maryam to the General Hospital, Ningi for medical examination and confirmation of her death as was done by a Medical Doctor.

As of the time of filling this report on Saturday, no arrest has been made while efforts are on to trace the culprits in order to bring them to book.

Meanwhile, the mutilated body of Maryam has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

As of the time of filling this report, there was no confirmation from the State Police Command as the Command PPRO, SP Ahmed Wakili neither responded to the SMS and WhatsApp sent to his mobile number.
