The local said that the village has been deserted.

The chairman of the local government, Richard Nyajo who confirmed the report said he had reported the attack to the Commander of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Maj Gen Adeyemi Yekini.

However, Gen Yekini who confirmed the report explained that the attack was a spillover of the Jukun/Tiv crisis in Kente, Taraba State yesterday.

Yekini said that the village that was attacked in Logo was very close to the area that was attacked in Taraba stressing that his troops had already visited the scene of the attack.

“My officer visited the village and confirmed that the incident was a spillover attack from the Jukun of Kente following the outbreak of inter-communal clashes yesterday between the Jukun and Tiv at Kente Taraba State.

“I spoke with the Security Adviser to Governor Ortom and he is already on his way to Wukari to find an amicable solution to the Internet-communal crisis while our troops are also patrolling the border areas between the two states,” Yekini stated.
