Supreme Court verdict affirming Buhari’s victory not surprising ― Afenifere

Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, on Wednesday said in its reaction to the Supreme Court ruling which affirmed the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the last general election that the decision of the Apex Court is not surprising as it was expected by those with discerning mind.

Afenifere said this in a very short piece, sent to the Tribune Online by its spokesperson, Mr Yinka Odumakin.

The group said the court verdict would have, however, come as a surprise if it had been otherwise.

“The Supreme Court has delivered a verdict expected by the discerning and there is no iota of surprise.

“The shock would have been anything different from what it did,” Afenifere said.
