Supreme Court judgment: Pray for peace, APC chieftain tells Kano residents

A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano state, Seyi Olorunsola has called on the teeming masses of the state, irrespective of religious or tribal affiliations to pray for peace ahead of judgment to be delivered by the Supreme Court in the ongoing governorship tussle.

This is just as he stated that the peace in the state is more paramount than the selfish ego of any individual or group of people, adding that the prevailing peace should not be allowed to be truncated upon

Disclosing this on Wednesday in Kano, Olorunsola, at a prayer conference organised by the non-indigenous Christian community gathered to intercede on behalf of Nasir Gawuna, seeking divine intervention for the reclamation of his mandate.

The APC stalwart expressed gratitude to the judiciary for their steadfast commitment to the rule of law thus far.

Olorunsola acknowledged the crucial role the judiciary plays in upholding justice and encouraged them to remain vigilant until justice is unequivocally served.

“This emphasis on the judiciary reflects the belief in the importance of a fair and impartial legal process, free from external influences.”

He underscored the belief that a fair and just resolution to the electoral dispute in Kano will contribute to the overall stability and progress of the nation.

“I envision Kano State and a Nigeria where peace prevails, prosperity abounds, and the democratic principles that underpin the nation’s governance are upheld.”
