Published by

A legal practitioner and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Chief Morayo Lebi, has stressed the need for public holders to throw their weight towards the implementation of government policies to ensure development of the country.

Lebi who made this appeal while speaking with newsmen in Akure, Ondo State capital, said Nigerians need to be enlightened on reasons for formulation of government policies or such would fail.

He said Nigerians ought to be educated on government policies in order to have first-hand information on the goals of such policies and know how to go about the policies.

The legal luminary noted that the support of the public in implementing government policies would enhanced development.

He said: I want to implore government workers and the public to support government policies for the development of our nation.

“No matter how sound and valid a policy may be, if citizens don’t support it, it will not achieve what it’s meant for.

“For instance, if economic policy is formulated and people are not carried along, they may not support it and such policy will fail.

“I urge office holders to ensure they enlighten people on policies introduced for success of such policies.

“For speedy socio-economic development, all hands must be on deck. Both public officeholders and people must work to implement government policies.

“So, I implore citizens to support government policies which enhances success of such policies and development of Nigeria.”
