Support Abiodun’s administration with prayers, we only have one Ogun State ― Akinlade

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Hon Adekunle Akinlade, has asked the people of Ipokia Local Government and Ogun State, in general, to support the present administration in the state with prayers, urging them to put in efforts to make the state great.

Akinlade made the request during the 2020 inaugural meeting of the All Progressives Congress in Ipokia Local government held at the palace of Onipokia.

“We cannot engage in rivalry, abuses or anything that brings retrogression to our dear state. We have to pray for them (the present administration) to succeed, as this is not about differences in the party, caucus or ideology but about Ogun State. We have just one Ogun State,” Akinlade noted.

He hinted that as much as he still wishes to govern the state, he hopes to govern a better Ogun State.

Akinlade thanked the people of Ipokia for their support and love throughout his travail in the last election which ended with the Supreme Court’s verdict. He appreciated their doggedness while urging them to remain united.

Addressing the party faithful, member representing Ipokia state constituency, Hon Sikirat Ajibola, sympathised with her constituents on the hardship they have been facing on border closure and the ban on selling fuel within 20km of the border.

She assured them that she is doing her bit to make the Federal Government relax the order.

At the event, a minute silence and special prayers were observed in honour of the late former Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Asiwaju Yinka Mafe, who died on his 46th birthday.

Party leaders present at the meeting include Alhaji Bashir Ajibabi, Hon. Sikirat Ajibola (member, Ogun State House of Assembly, Ipokia Constituency), Hon. Josu Amos, Chief Ajibola Fatai Isiaka, Engr.
