According to him, the new song illustrated how Nigerians don’t appreciate indigenous materials and talents,this is just as he hinted that the indigenous works are now taking over the world.
“The truth is that Nigerians don’t celebrate their own talents. They will later appreciate when the rest of the world is celebrating such talents.”
Speaking on his decision to feature Reminisce in the song, Super Balat said he “respects Reminisce so much. He sings with our indigenous language; which many people would say it is local. The song ‘Local’ is roduced by Puffy T.”
The rising-star has also released his new video, Mama, which is currently trending on social media platforms in Nigeria and the rest of African countries.
The graduate of Business Administration from the University of Lagos revealed that his “interest in music was established at the age of 15 when I was in a music group called ‘Battle Boys’ formed with my friends in Bariga. Music has always been a prominent part of my life.”
“My love for music developed when I recorded my first track ‘Oskolo’ in 2009. I have had a very strong passion for music. This passion was accompanied by a burning ambition to succeed. I have paid my dues and made neccessary sacrifices to get to this level, so nothing seems to be stopping me at this point,” he added.
