The Vice-Chancellor of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Professor Abdullahi Abdu Zuru has commissioned a N1.3 million (N1,300,000), ambulance purchased for the Institution’s Medical Center by the Students’ Union Government.
The commissioning ceremony of the ultra-modern ambulance by the Vice-Chancellor was part of the series of week-long programmes and activities lined up as part of the University’s Joint 35th, 36th and 37th Convocation Ceremony of the University.

The President of the Student’s Union Government, Comrade Ibrahim Shehu Kalgo, while handing over the ambulance said that the gesture was to augment the provision of quality medical services to the Students, staff and other members of the University community.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor commended the Students’ leaders for the invaluable gesture and urged other associations to emulate them.
