Subsidy removal: Be patient with Tinubu, cleric urges Nigerians

Nigerians have been urged to be patient with President Bola Tinubu-led administration following the abrupt removal of subsidy.

Founder of New Seraph, Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye made the appeal while speaking at a news conference in Lagos preceding the kick-off of the fifth edition of the Night of Division Experience (NODE).

She also advised Nigerians to think outside the box and be penny-wise as the country overcomes its current challenges.

“It has taken years upon years, I mean to get to where we are and it will take a while to gradually get out of our present condition.

“So, it requires patience and understanding. It is not easy I must tell you, but there is hope. It is not a hopeless situation. But we need to support that hope to make things happen.”

She added; “So, as a leader, I will appeal to my people and Nigerians to be patient, to persevere, but to think outside the box.

“Ask yourself, what am I doing now? What can I do differently? How can I be better? This is the time to think outside the box and also a time to be realistic about lifestyle. Don’t live above your means”.

It was further announced that the programme has been fully packaged in a way to accommodate no fewer than 500,000 people at The New Seraph Prayer City – Klm 60, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, by Sapade Overhead Bridge, Ode Remo, Ogun from August 14 to August 18, 2023.

Dr Sholoye assured the potential attendees of their safety during the cause of the programme among other palliatives to make their stay worthwhile.
