Stripping profession doesn’t make you a whore — BBNaija ex-housemate, Chichi

Big Brother Naija season 7 Level-Up housemate, Chinenyenwa Desire Okoebor, popularly known as Chichi, has described stripping as a profession and does not necessarily make someone a whore.

The reality star, who once revealed herself as a stripper while in Biggie’s house, disclosed this in a recent podcast chat with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

According to her, one of her primary motives for going into Big Brother’s house was to make Nigerians know that stripping does not, in any way, make one a whore.

She added that she wanted Nigerians to stop criticizing strippers but rather relate to their lifestyles.

Chichi also said that a lady can be a stripper while at the same time making a good home.

She further called out those who condemned strippers in public after privately patronizing and spraying them money at nightclubs.

She said, “So, before I went on the show, I remember telling the organizers – I don’t know which of them picked me, but whoever that person is, God bless that person – remember telling them that one of my reasons going to the Big brother Naija house was to make Nigerians know that stripping does not make you a whore. It’s just another means of making quick money.

“You don’t really have to sleep around to make money as a stripper or an exotic dancer. I wanted Nigerians to also relate with strippers and their lifestyle. I don’t know if I was able to achieve that, but I’m a homely girl. If you actually watch the show you will understand that I’m not perfect. I can be a badass. I have never for once thought about what people will start saying. Because when I used to think of that, I was a nobody, until I started working hard. So, I wanted Nigerians to relate with my life and maybe at some point, the life of a stripper. To understand that this is actually a profession. Someone can be a stripper, and she can also make a good home.

“She is a human, we are human too. The same way you will go to work in the morning is the same way we can go to work at night and go strip and dance on the poll and make money even without being touched. So why do you think you are better than me? You come to the strip club, you spray us money, you are the ones encouraging us because if you don’t come, we won’t make money. After spraying us with money, then you go home to criticize and judge us.”
