The state assembly’s intervention is coming after three days the labour leaders in the state ordered its members to begin indefinite strike as from Tuesday 3rd of October, 2017.
The workers who penultimate Wednesday ended seven-day warning strike called on its members to commence an indefinite strike as from next Tuesday.
The state house of assembly had on Thursday during its session invited the organised labour for an extraordinary session on Friday with a view to look into the problem of non-payment of salaries.
Saturday Tribune which was at the state assembly complex yesterday report that the labour leaders did not show up.
It was gathered that efforts to remind the labour leaders of the extraordinary session were not successful as the labour leaders could not be reached on line.

Press secretary to the speaker, Mr Bem Abunde, when contacted said that the lawmakers waited for the labour leaders but failed to show up, adding that the meeting was a crucial one which was aimed towards the non-payment of salaries.
He added that the labour leaders however communicated with the clerk of the house but did not give a reason for turning down the invitation.
