After seeing to the successful premiere of her movie, ‘Omoniyun’ last week, Dayo Amusa would have expected to draw attention for the right reasons, instead she finds herself fending off ‘life analysts’ and ‘womb watchers.’
The new film, which is based on thematic issues such as child molestation and sexual abuse, comes about a year after the actress’s last personal project entitled: “That which binds us” and Dayo has not hidden her excitement about the movie and the societal issues it addressed.
However, in what has appeared to be an endless cycle, the 36-year-old has had to respond to numerous rumours concerning impending marriage and pregnancy.
For the umpteenth time, the Lagos-born actress who is prominent in the Yoruba movie industry, via her Instagram page, reacted to the latest set of rumours that she was getting married and expecting a baby.
Dayo wrote: “Yea! I’m married to myself now, “still single” and pregnant with fulfilment.”
Out of what was an obvious frustration, she switched codes to sarcastically appreciate her observers and analysts.
“Eyin elenu mari mawii, eyin life analyst, womb watchers, ati gbo yin. Ese ooo.”
She nevertheless remained hopeful, adding that: “I know some genuinely wish me that joy of matrimony, don’t worry, it will happen but I will get married when I meet a man who’s capable and man enough to deal with a complicated and imperfect me.”
