‘Stop criticising government, get your PVCs ’

Published by

Pastor in charge of Edo Region 13, the Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Dele Balogun has charged Christians to stop blaming and criticizing the government, but to collect their permanent voters cards (PVCs).

Pastor Balogun gave this warning at a recent event held in Benin City, stating that criticizing the government was not the best solution, but to collect their PVCs which he described as their power to vote for credible candidates of their choice.

Speaking further, he challenged them to collect their PVCs, so that they would not become slaves in their father’s land.

He said: “There are some of us, all we have been doing is to keep on criticizing the government of the day.”

How many of them have collected their PVCs even as the general elections is coming in 2019. I challenge them today to go and collect their PVCs, so that they will not become slaves in their father’s land. We need action.”

Speaking further, he noted “How are we Christians contributing to the development of our society, state and Nigeria as well. Christian must live a life full of impact, because God expects us as Christians to live a life of positive impact in our society.

“Christians are to be a blessing to their communities, that is why in RCCG, we practise what the people called corporate social responsibility, but ours is Christian Social Responsibility. If something goes wrong in your community, we are to rise and correct it.

“As a Christian, if you are committed positively or negatively, you will be remembered.
