Stèrmes Creative Director harps on collaboration among fashion entrepreneurs

Patience Peter, founder of Stèrmes Clothing, a brand focused on seamlessly integrating diverse influences into her fashion creations, has stressed that it is important in the present day to collaborate rather than just compete in the marketplace.

Speaking to Nigerian Tribune recently, she said that there is a huge benefit in it.

“Collaboration among fashion brands can lead to innovative designs and broader market appeal. It often benefits both brands involved by combining their strengths and reaching new audiences,” she said.

Whether it’s the modest styles reminiscent of her belief that ‘less is more’ or the clean lines inspired by modern architecture, each piece in Patience’s collection tells a unique story.

Born and raised in South-Western Nigeria, Patience’s passion for style ignited at a young age as she observed the dynamic trends within the urban landscape.

After completing her education in fashion design in 2016, she made her debut collection in 2018 and has since then embarked on a journey to explore the fashion industry. Her design philosophy revolves around the fusion of classic elegance with avant-garde innovation, aiming to create garments that not only reflect the spirit of the times but also stand the test of time.

Drawing inspiration from her multicultural background, Patience seamlessly integrates diverse influences into her creations.

With a keen eye for detail, Patience is determined to leave a positive impact on the fashion industry. Her designs not only captivate the eye but also advocate for bringing like-minded people together through modest fashion.

As an emerging force in the fashion world, Patience Peter envisions her brand as a symbol of empowerment and self-expression. Through her dedication to craftsmanship, innovation and a mindful approach to fashion, Patience is set to leave an indelible mark on the industry, inspiring a new generation of fashion enthusiasts to embrace authenticity and creativity. Watch out for Patience Peter as she transforms the runway with her distinctive style and unwavering commitment to shaping the future of fashion.

Speaking on her passion for fashion, she said, “After my education in the university, my parents encouraged my interest in arts and crafts. They made me realise they would support whatever I decided to go with. With that encouragement, I began paying more attention to cultures, art, people and the art of building self expression.

“I want Stèrmes to become a household name and also expand into accessories. I also want to consult for other brands and fashion houses and I want to expand the team as well.”
