StarTimes brings new ‘Empire’ season to fans

StarTimes has continued to broaden its reach and entertainment offering to its subscribers with the new Season of Empire, a Hollywood blockbuster on Fox Life channel.  Empire is a Hollywood drama about a family dynasty set within the glamorous and sometimes dangerous world of hip-hop music; the show revolves around the Lyons, starred by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.

Lead actor, Lucious (Terrence Howard) makes his first public appearance since the explosion in Las Vagas, but still has no memory of his family, Empire or his life before the accident.

A devastated Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) struggles to rebuild her relationship with him, while keeping a close eye on his nurse. Meanwhile, Andre, Lyons son, starred by Trai Byers is faced with an investigation by the LAPD surrounding the night of the Las Vegas explosion.

The series is produced by 20th Century Fox, in association with Imagine Entertainment, Lee Daniels Entertainment, Danny Strong Productions and Little Chicken Inc. The show-runners for this season are Ilene Chaiken, Danny Strong and Lee Daniels.

According to the Brand and Marketing Director at StarTimes, Qasim Elegbede, “Subscribers can watch Empire Season 4 on our channels or on the go via StarTimes mobile app as they keep up to date with Hollywood blockbusters.” This, he said, was to enhance viewers’ delight and entertainment experience. “StarTimes is always ready to give its subscribers rich entertainment and boost family viewership,” he added.

The fourth season features the celebration of Empire’s 20th anniversary, with the show drawing in a staggering 10 million total viewers of its season 4 premiere from across the world.
