Stakeholders urge IGP to enroll graduants of PSS into Force

The Commandant Police Secondary School Minna, SP Haruna Ibrahim, has advised parents and guardians to refrain from giving their children and wards expensive telephones to school whenever the school is in session, adding that the health status of the students should be disclosed to the school management before enrolments.

 

He gave the advice at the 26th passing out parade and Prize giving ceremony of 420 students(Graduands)  of PSS Minna just as he urged the Parents/Guardians to stop giving their children excess money to school.

 

Wife of the Inspector General of Police and National President Police Officers Wife Association (POWA), Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun who was the reviewing officer of the passing out parade and appreciated the management of the PSS Minna for setting the pace for other schools to follow and the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school.

 

The Chairman of the School’s Parents Teachers Association, Barrister Shehu Umar appealed to the Wife of the Inspector General of Police and POWA Chairperson Mrs. Egbetokun to ensure that the graduating students should be automatically considered for admission into the Nigeria  Police Academy in parts of the country considering the kind of training they have received from the school.

 

In his remarks, Commissioner of zpokicr Niger State Command,  CP  Ogundele Joshua  Ayodeji stated that if the students were offered automatic admissions into Police Academy, it will serve as a morale booster for other Police Secondary School Students.

 

The Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, who doubles as the Director, Community and Rural Development N-HYPPADEC, Dr. Mahmud Umar Mohammed promised that the Commission will sponsor some projects in the school to provide a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
