Recently, Spotify organised a paint-and-sip event to unveil the launch of ‘Daylist’, designed to tailor the music experience to listeners’ moods. With ‘Daylist’, one’s playlist changes throughout the day, delivering tailored music for all moods.
Speaking at the event, Michelle Atagana, Spotify’s Head of Communications and Public Relations for Sub-Saharan Africa, said, “We’re excited to bring ‘Daylist’ to our listeners in Nigeria and across Sub-Saharan Africa. It’s incredible to see the enthusiasm for this feature, with Nigeria already ranking as the second-highest streaming country for daylist, just behind South Africa.
“This brand new playlist feature is like a musical chameleon, morphing throughout the day to keep your vibe fresh. It only launched in Sub-Saharan Africa this March, but guess what? Nigeria’s already rocking it, snagging the number two spot for most streams, right behind South Africa. Kenya, Ghana, and Uganda round out the top 5 countries streaming ‘Daylist’ in Sub-Saharan Africa.
‘Daylist’ streams in Nigeria have grown by 1326 per cent since its March launch till now! Lagos takes the cake for the city with the most daylist love, with an increase of 1411 per cent. Big ups to Katsina, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, and Enugu for also making the top five Nigerian ‘Daylist’ champions.
“We can’t wait for you to lose yourself in the music while you paint, and to see your artistic masterpieces at the end!”
Attendees enjoyed an afternoon of music and art and were treated to a set by DJ Kizzy.
