Speed limiter: We are looking at right time to strike ― FRSC Commander

ADAMAWA State sector commander of Federal Road safety Corps, Mohammed A Husaini said the speed limit breaker has a back up law to enforce the device in all vehicles applying the major roads in the state.

For this,the corps commander revealed that the Adamawa command is looking at the right time to strike action on the installation of the device that’s compulsory restricting the limit speed of a driver.

Hussaini while responding to journalists in Yola at the command headquarters decried worry over little awareness by the vendor of the device.

He appreciate the willingness of many motorists to install the device but the price and the availability of the product is high,discouraging buyers to own it.

According to him the security situation in Adamawa is making them to delay in ensuring of proper enforcement of the law by not causing unnecessary tension for the people.

He however warn that people should come to terms with reality of installing speed breaker as a compulsory device in all vehicles and there are penalties to whoever violence or break the law.

“We are looking at the right time to strike, it is a constitutional order that we must to comply with,” he said.

He extolled Adamawa people as law abiding but warn those using tricycles (Keke Napep) as commercial means of transportation to officially register.

According to him, Keke Napep is seventy percent commercial means of transportation and people are using it to commit all manner of crime.
