Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen on Friday expressed shock over the demise of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno.
Speaker Abbas described Mrs. Eno’s exit as painful, while condoling her husband and the immediate family.
Commissioner for Information, Akwa Ibom State, Ini Ememobong, announced the death of the First Lady via a press statement issued in the early hours of Friday.
The First Lady reportedly died at a hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by family members.
The Speaker, who called for prayers for the Eno family, said the death was a great blow to the First Family of Akwa Ibom State.
“Mrs. Eno was a great woman who was passionate about women and children. Her life, though short, was fulfilling and impactful. She will be sorely missed,” he said.
Speaker Abbas extended his condolences to the Eno family, the people, and the government of Akwa Ibom State over the irreparable loss.
