Soyinka, Anyaoku, Ezekwesili, Bakare, others, launch Third Force Movement February

Professor Wole Soyinka, Professor Pat Utomi, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Barrister Olisa Agbakoba, Dr Obiageli Ezekwesili, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Mr Fela Durotoye are among dignitaries expected to be present at a summit where the Nigeria Intervention Movement (NIM) will formally launch its third force initiative.

As disclosed in a statement signed by the movement’s deputy director general, Mr Naseer Kura, the launch is scheduled for the last week in February, in Abuja.

NIM, in the statement, said that it was compelled to evolve the movement as an alternative to rescuing Nigerians from existing leadership incompetence and impunity in the country.

Others expected at the event include General Alani Akinrinade, Mr Donald Duke, Mrs Najatu Mohammed, Mr Balarabe Musa, Dr Garba Adamu, Barrister Femi Falana, Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa, Professor Attahiru Jega, Mr Fola Adeola, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Dr AbduJalil Tafawa Balewa.

Meanwhile, NIM has announced its zonal coordinators, Mr Buba Galadima (North East); Mr Rabiu Bichi (North West), Dr John Darah (North Central), Mr Uche Onyeagocha (South East), Dr Olu Agunloye (South West) and Mr Ikpe Obong (South-South).

The zonal coordinators are expected to select state coordinators who will also appoint persons to mobilize for the movement at local governments and wards levels.
