Soyinka: A Living Legend Turns 90

We wish to celebrate Prof Wole Soyinka as he steps into the pantheon of nonagenarians today.

As our own living legend, Soyinka’s life is a testament of commitment to high ideals. He is honoured as the epitome of the finest in the global community of letters and a shining star in the Nigerian firmament.

We celebrate this ultimate icon who will continue receiving accolades for centuries.

We honour him for he still stands as a bulwark against injustice and oppression locally and internationally.

We consider his life as a manifestation of his drive for a better nation. We wish him many more years in sound health.

Dr Joe Odumakin, President, Centre for Change.
