NATIONAL Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Chief Pius Akinyelure, governors and other South West leaders of the APC are billed to meet in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, on Thursday.
The meeting to be hosted by Governor Abiola Ajimobi at executive council chambers of his office, will also have former governors, ministers, National Assembly members and party leaders across the zone, in attendance.
This information contained in a statement by Special Adviser to Governor on Communication and Strategy, Mr Yomi Layinka, disclosed that the meeting will feature deliberations on “compelling issues and developments in the collective interest of the South West region.”
It would be recalled that a similar meeting held in January where the leaders resolved to closed ranks and forge a common front on governance and other national issues.
The statement further stated that the meeting will also assess “the success so far recorded on the regional economic integration initiative as well as other issues of common interest.”
