South-West governors launch Amotekun

The Governor of Ekiti State and the Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), Dr Kayode Fayemi, has said the introduction of Amotekun in the South-West is not to create regional police force.

He made this statement in his goodwill message at the official launch of the Western Nigerian Security Network, Amotekun, which took place at the Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State on Thursday.

He further said the creation of Amotekun is not an agenda of any course but security and safety of our people in the South West States.
