My son’s undescended testicle

I just noticed that one of my son’s testicles is not in the scrotum. Please, what can I do?. He is 6 months of age.

It is a good thing that you were able to quickly detect your son’s undescended testicle.Early diagnosis and management of the undescended testicle (Cryptorchidism) are needed to preserve fertility and prevent other complications such as testicular neoplasm, testicular torsion and inguinal hernia. Having done this, the next thing is for you to take your son to a doctor, preferably a specialist pediatric surgeon at the nearest Specialist or Teaching Hospital to you for the appropriate treatment which is usually surgery to bring down the hanging testicle.
