The seeming cold war said to be brewing in the music industry between the Danfo Driver singers, made up of Mad melon and Mountain black and Tekno, otherwise known as Slim Daddy over song theft allegation may have been buried after the parties involved decided to let peace reign.

It will be recalled that the Danfo singers accused Tekno of sampling their intellectual property without their consent.

Mountain Black, who expressed their disappointment when they heard that Tekno had used their song, Jogodo insisted they would deal with him.

They had threatened to deal with Tekno when they get back to Lagos as they were said to be out of town when they heard their song had been reproduced.

R learnt that as soon as the Danfo singers touched down in Lagos days back, a high-powered meeting was set up at the residence of a successful socialite and entrepreneur where the issue was said to have been resolved.

A source, who was at the meeting informed R that Tekno known for his peaceful nature apologised to the ‘Danfo Drivers’ and gave them a substantial amount of money as compensation.

Asked to reveal how much exchanged hands at the meeting that lasted for less than two hours, the source added that, “There was no point releasing that to the public. Tekno is a nice guy and is always in the pursuit of peace with everybody. The issue has been resolved and everyone is happy.”

Tekno, after the meeting, took to his Instagram page and shared a picture of himself and the Danfo Drivers with a caption that read: “Love. #Slimdanfo.”

The Jogodo video was dropped on Thursday.
