The forum, themed the quality of broadcasting, as well as facilitate the implementation of its cultural policy towards the development of the broadcasting industry in Nigeria, Sonde, Founder and CEO of Yemi Sonde Entertainment Media told Entrepreneurship+ at the weekend.
This is the fifth edition of the forum since it was launched by Sonde.
According to him, this year’s forum will provide “a moral guideline to be embarked upon by stakeholders of broadcast industry according to the rules and regulation of the code,” and will bring dignitaries and stakeholders together to deliberate on issues.
Scheduled to take place at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, topics such as the family: content production and challenges, digitization, benefits and public expectations: your right to quality broadcasting; sustainability of broadcast ethics in digital era: the way forward; and broadcasting as a tool for language development in a digital era are lined up for discussion.
Among speakers lined up for the day are: Bunmi Cole, former Director, NBC; Hajiya Maimuna Jimada, Head, Public Affairs, NBC; Mac Emakpore, former Director NBC; Olufemi O. Ayeni, Director, Investigation and Enforcement; Toun Okewale, CEO, Women FM; Bayo Atoyebi, Former Ag. DG., NBC; Dr. Armstrong Idachaba, Director, Broadcasting Monitoring; Ambrose Somide, MD, Radio service Daar Communication; Segun Olaleye, BON; Professor Ayobami Ojebode, HOD, Dept. of Communication and Language Arts, UI; Dr. Sunday Alawode, LASU School of Communication and Eddy Aina, former Director, NBC, among others.
