Solution FunCity Awka: Meet Chukwudi Ezenwa, the architect bringing Soludo’s vision to life

Awka, Anambra State, is poised to become Nigeria’s premier leisure destination with the highly anticipated Solution Funcity Awka, a world-class tourism and entertainment complex spearheaded by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration and designed by rising architectural star Chukwudi Ezenwa. Slated for opening this year, 2025, the mega-project promises to redefine Anambra State tourism with its blend of amusement park, water park, country club and family fun centre in Awka, positioning the capital as a must-visit hub for Anambrarians and tourists.

At the heart of this transformative vision is the young Architect Chukwudi Ezenwa, Chairman of GSS Group, whose firm secured the contract to design and develop Solution Funcity Awka. A graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Ezenwa has rapidly risen to prominence, with prior accolades including co-developing Dubai Estate Awka, one of Anambra’s largest private residential complexes. His latest undertaking, a sprawling leisure complex in Nigeria featuring an amusement park, water park in Anambra, sports facilities, and a luxury country club has drawn praise for its ambition to rival global standards.

“Governor Soludo’s trust in homegrown talent underscores his commitment to leveraging Anambra State tourism as an engine for job creation and urban renewal,” Ezenwa remarked during a recent site tour. “Solution Funcity Awka isn’t just about rides and slides; it’s a catalyst for positioning our state as a beacon of innovation and economic growth.”

The project, a flagship among Governor Soludo projects, is strategically located within Awka Capital Territory and designed to attract millions of visitors annually. Key attractions will include adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, wave pools, dedicated kids’ zones, and cinema halls, all crafted to cater to family entertainment in Awka while boosting hospitality revenue. Analysts predict the complex could generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, further cementing Anambra’s reputation among Nigeria’s premier tourist attractions.

Governor Soludo, who has prioritized massive infrastructure development across the state since taking office, emphasized the project’s alignment with his vision to transform Anambra into a self-sustaining economic powerhouse. “Solution Funcity Awka exemplifies what’s possible when visionary leadership collaborates with indigenous expertise,” he stated.

As construction progresses toward the 2025 opening, anticipation grows among residents and investors alike. Once operational, the water park in Anambra will be the largest in southeastern Nigeria, while the amusement park will feature cutting-edge rides rarely seen in the region. For Ezenwa, the project is both a personal and professional milestone: “This is proof that Nigerian talent can deliver world-class infrastructure. We’re not just building a park, we are creating a legacy.”

With its fusion of local ingenuity and global flair, Solution Funcity Awka aims to put Anambra State on the map as Nigeria’s premier leisure destination, inviting families, thrill-seekers, and entrepreneurs to experience a new era of tourism-driven prosperity.
