The Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has vowed to actualize his vision of making Anambra a destination point in Nigeria and beyond.
Soludo stated this during a brief meeting with journalists at the governor’s lodge in Amawbia on Tuesday.
He said everyone living in Anambra, irrespective of socioeconomic status, must join hands in developing the state and making it a destination point for significant investments in critical sectors.
The governor noted that his administration is fully prepared to ensure that Anambra remains the most safest state in Nigeria.

He updated the media that the two newly established local security outfits, “Agunechemba and Udo Ga Achi operatives, are doing wonderfully well in the ongoing war against crime in the State.
According to him, “the issue of ensuring a peaceful society is everyone’s business and not the government alone. Since the inauguration of the two local security outfits, you Journalists, can proudly attest to it that every resident now sleep with their two eyes closed. I don’t aspire to govern Anambra State to catch fun only but to make Anambra a peaceful, secure, livable, and prosperous state for investors.
“My vision is to give Ndi-Anambra a focused and qualitative governance and to create the enabling environment for a public-private sector partnership, which is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development and individual prosperity of the people of the state.
“My mission is to improve citizens’ confidence and trust in government through transparent and accountable leadership. Improve the development of the human capital through greater investment in qualitative education, to focused more on the ongoing one youth, two skills acquisition programme that have produce about 1,000 millionaires within a space of two years and eleven months of my administration as well as entrepreneurship programme for women and the old through my wife’s initiative, “Healthy living Initiative with Nonye Soludo.
“Improve the ranking of Anambra state on the local and global ease of doing business index so as to promote and encourage local and foreign direct investment in the state.
“Improve productivity, mobility, and connectivity through the provision of adequate physical road infrastructure across the State with particular emphasis on the rural areas. Work towards a higher level of prosperity, equity, fairness, and justice for all.
‘Improve the provision of primary health care to ensure availability to all Anambra citizens.
“My government shall continue to provide good accountable governance through the provision of quality leadership to ensure everyone leaving in Anambra State have a fulfilling livelihood.
“Part of our mission in Anambra is not to make our place to become a departure lounge. We must turn Anambra into a destination point in Nigeria and beyond.
“We must change the narrative; we must change the story for our place to become a point of departure, and all of us have something to do in this mission.
“Therefore, I urged everyone living in Anambra, irrespective of tribe, ethic, and religious background to work together to make the state a destination point for commercial and industrial development.”
