Soludo commended for completing Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugu Umuonyia roads

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has been widely commended for completing the 12.5km Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugu Umuonyia-Achina Road, a vital project that connects several communities in Anambra State.

The road construction is part of his infrastructural drive to fulfill promises made to the people, improving accessibility and fostering economic growth in the region.

With ongoing and completed road projects across the state, Governor Soludo has effectively transformed Anambra into a construction hub in his quest to make the state a nationwide destination brand.

According to Mr. Izuchuckwu Eze, a community leader in Omuonyia, the governor has fulfilled his promise with the completion of the 12.5km road. “This road will make our communities more accessible, ensure farm products reach other parts of the state, and boost small-scale businesses in the locality,” Eze stated.

Recently, Soludo commissioned the 11.9km Mmiata-Anam-Nzam Road, which provides access to the headquarters of Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA).

While inspecting the completed project, Governor Soludo remarked: “I promised Ndi Anambra West that if I failed to construct the road to your headquarters, you should stone me if I ever come back to your local government to campaign or ask for anything.”

The State’s Executive Council has also approved the construction of new roads across the 21 Local Government Areas, with a delivery timeline of six months. According to the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, existing projects will also be completed within this timeframe.

Governor Soludo is rapidly transforming Anambra into a destination brand, redefining governance by blending vision with execution to unlock the state’s vast economic and human potential for sustainable development.
