Soludo assures good governance for every household in Anambra

Anambra Governor, Charles Soludo, has assured that every household in the state under his watch will have a taste of good governance before the end of his eight years administration.

Suludo gave the assurance while speaking to Journalists shortly after paying a condolence visit to the family of late Sir Dr Nathan Emeka Okechukwu, aged 79 at Awka-Etiti community in Idemili local government area of the state, on Friday.

The governor, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Ernest Ezeajughi, said he is poised to ensure good governance in the state.

According to the Chief of State, Soludo was elected to simplify governance and make Anambra State the best in the country in terms of all good governance indices. With the people’s support and prayers, he will fulfill and implement all his campaign promises, even as he has done enough within two years in office as the governor.

“This administration would continue to churn out policies and programmes that would better the lot of the youths, women and elderly in the state, as well as the civil servants, media, petty traders and artisans.”

He noted that Soludo administration has empowered over 5,000 youths through the ‘One Youth, Two Skills Solution Initiative’; employed over 5,000 teachers, employed 3,000 health workers, and also embarked on massive road construction across the 179 communities that constitute the state.

“Every household in Anambra State irrespective of any political affiliation, will have a taste of good governance under our working governor, Charles Soludo before the end of his eight years in office.

We call on Ndi Anambra to continue to support and promote this administration.

The Chief of Staff also assured the people of Awka-Etiti community that under Governor Soludo, the state would attain its vision of livable and prosperous Homeland in Nigeria.

He described late Dr Okechukwu as a great man who has contributed a lot to the development of Awka-Etiti community, Anambra State, the South East region, and the country at large.

“Mr governor has a sound relationship with him and that is the reason why I and my deputy, Sir Ugochukwu Obiefuna are here to represent the state government and we said sorry to the family, he condoled.

One of the sons of the deceased, Mr. Kenneth Okechukwu, while appreciating the governor for honouring his father’s burial, promised that the entire family would continue to support his administration to make Anambra great.

He also promised to sustain the legacies his father left behind.

The Chief of Staff and his entourage also paid similar visit to late Ezinne Mercy Nnoyelu, an APGA women leader, at Paul University field Awka and late Mrs Florence Okafor, mother of Father Assent Okafor of All Saint Catholic Church Awgbu in Orumba North Council Area of the State respectively.
