Sola Sobowale shines in Muyiwa Ademola’s ‘Ori Rebirth’

Celebrated Nollywood icon, Sola Sobowale, has taken center stage in Muyiwa Ademola’s eagerly awaited production, ‘Ori Rebirth’

Currently in the midst of production at diverse Nigerian locations, the film presents a constellation of top talents from the industry, including Omowumi Dada, TOYIN Abraham, Femi Adebayo, Adedimeji Lateef, Dele Odule, and more.

Sobowale, a seasoned luminary in Nigerian cinema, shared her elation at joining this novel venture, once again demonstrating her undisputed acting finesse on set.

The producer, Muyiwa Ademaola said Sobowale’s involvement in “Ori Rebirth” accentuates her status as one of Nollywood’s most revered figures.

Intriguingly, R reliably gathered that Sobowale’s participation in “Ori Rebirth” was accompanied by significant financial recognition.

Insider information suggests that she was handsomely compensated with over five million naira for her contribution to the film, underscoring the exceptional value she brings to the project.

The anticipation for “Ori Rebirth” is palpable as it promises to offer a cinematic experience of the highest caliber. This highly anticipated film boasts an ensemble cast with Sola Sobowale as its leading star.

In an interesting twist, Ademola who is one the directors of the movie alongside Tope Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani,  shared his motivation for embarking on this venture.

He cited the success achieved by Femi Adebayo in epic movies like “Jagun Jagun” and “Ageshin Kole,” both financed by Netflix.

Ademola noted that many Yoruba-speaking movie producers had previously shied away from big-budget projects due to concerns about market viability.

However, he emphasised, “The Ori Rebirth” is a blockbuster with an estimated budget of nearly 200 million naira, and it is set to change perceptions in the industry.

“Right now, some of us are emboldened to shoot big budget movies because we know there is a market out there waiting to see and buy what we have done,” Ademola remarked, shedding light on the shifting landscape of Yoruba cinema.
