Sokoto: Wamakko set to receive 4 serving PDP Commissioners to APC

The camp of All Progressives Congress, APC will soon witness another  Gale of defections with the imminent defection of four serving Commissioners under the incumbent Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ),  led Sokoto State Government, according to the Chairman of the Northern Senators, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

This is contained in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity,  Bashir Rabe Mani and issued to newsmen in Sokoto.

The statement disclosed that, Senator Wamakko who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District spoke when he commissioned the party’s campaign office at the Unguwar Filin ‘Yan Shanu, Sarkin Adar Ward, In Sokoto North Local Government of the state.

According to Senator Wamakko,  the names of the potential APC new entrants would soon be unveiled to the people of the state.

He explained that, the happy development has soared the love, respect and sustained the people of the state , in all forms, shapes and strata, have been jnvalauably showing to the APC and its candidates,  at all levels.

Senator Wamakko further noted that the people of the state have been of recent trooping into the Party,  especially from the PDP,  sequel to its dwindling fortunes and a dearth of popularity.

Commenting on the Gubernatorial Debate organized by the Hausa Service of the  British Broadcasting Service, Senator averred, ” it has shown that our Gubernatorial Candidate,  Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto is not a greenhorn and immature politically as being peddled by some cynics and doubting Thomases.

“He is fit and capable to hold the office and he will efficiently deliver the needed good governance and democracy dividends to the people of the state .”

Senator Wamakko therefore, again, appealed to the people of the state to massively vote APC Candidates, at all levels during the forthcoming general elections.

Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto promised to consolidate on the achievements of Senator Wamakko when he was the Governor of the state between 2007 and 2015.

The statement recalled that the former Information Commissioner,  Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Goronyo, had since defected to the APC.
