Sokoto govt commends state2state activities to upgrade service delivery

The Sokoto State government has commended State2State for its different programs aimed at upgrading service delivery in the Sokoto State.

The state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Sambo Bello Danchadi, stated this on Friday while speaking with journalists during a one-day validation of the standard procedure of the state ministry of information and orientation.

He assured of the full implementation of the  document in improving the service delivery among all the information officers in the state.

He called on all the participants to see the opportunity of being a member of the validation committee as a privilege, urging them to always ensure that they learn one or two innovations.

“Training is a very good thing that one can use to improve in the discharge of their responsibilities, it is like a sharpener, once you sharpen an object it will be very sharp. 

“I urged the participants whom are all senior staff from the ministry to ensure they put in total focus in the validation process of the document for the ministry “

He further assured the State2State officials that the document will be implemented in such a way that the outputs of every  individual information officer in the state will improve compared to before.

Also speaking, the Director of mobilization in the ministry,  Modibo Umar, called on the participants to ensure they all put into use the outcome of the engagement.

He called on all the information officers in the state to be professional in the discharge of their duties in accordance with the doctrines of their profession. 

Speaking in his remarks, State2State  communication specialist, Israel Onu Odiba, said the team held a three-day workshop to develop a working document for the state ministry of information. 

“What we are doing here now is a one day validation, to get feedback from the ministry on the first draft of the document. 

“Thankfully, the Commissioner for information was here and he has given his input, the exercise has really been an exciting experience and we hope to incorporate his input and the final documentation would improve the work of the ministry in the state” 

He however called on the ministry to ensure that the document is not just to be developed and kept on shelf but to implement the guidelines in the document. 

“Once they implement the guidelines, I am sure there will be a greater result from the efforts the information officers put into their job “
