The Governor had on Thursday, October 18, forwarded a list of 25 Commissioner nominees for confirmation of the Assembly.
The confirmation followed a motion by the House Leader Alhaji Garba Bello (PDP- Yabo), “That in view of the provision of section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended.
“Gov Aminu Tambuwal has submitted 25 names of nominees to be appointed as Commissioners and members of the state Executive Council.
“The persons so recommended for the appointment are persons of proven integrity and dedication and had served the state and the Nation in various capacities and thus will assist the governor in discharging his statutory responsibilities.
“Therefore, this House shall screen the nominees for the appointment as Commissioners and members of the state Executive Council,” Bello said.
The Deputy Speaker Alhaji Abubakar Magaji who presided over the sitting said, “the 25 persons are hereby confirmed as Commissioners,” as the members unanimously accepted such in a voice vote.

13 nominees were screened by the state Assembly on Tuesday, October 23, as scheduled.
Some of the nominees screened were the former House of Representative and state Assembly members that include, Alhaji Umar Bature, Alhaji Arzika Tureta and Mohammad S/Arewa.
Others were, Musa Ausa, Bello Goronyo, Abdullahi Maigwandu, Col. Garba Moyi (Rtd), Prof. Aisha Madawaki, Sulaiman Usman (SAN), Kulu Sifawa, Kulu Haruna, Isa Bajini Galadanchi and Bashir Gidado among others.
In their separate remarks, the newly screened Commissioners assured to work in line with the rules and regulations of the land and contribute to the socio-economic development of the State.
It will be recalled that Tambuwal dissolved the state executive council on July 4, 2018, through a memo signed by his Director General, media and publicity.
