His twelve hit songs in twelve weeks recording feat, which began with his collaborative effort with Wizkid entitled Fake Love, did great wonders in showcasing again the mantle of the Port Harcourt First Son to audiences.
Because it was as though Wene Mighty, as he, often hails himself was roosting in his hometown in Rivers State until his dreams clashed with Wizkid’s recently.
Since the release of Fake Love , Wene’s career has continued to rise steadily.
He has worked with artistes such as Reekado Banks, Bracket, Burns Boy and just during the week the first lady of Supreme Mavin Dynasty, Tiwa Savage in a feel good tune dubbed ‘Lova Lova’ – making 12 songs in 12 weeks.
Many believe that ‘Fake Love’ had a great impact on his career.
And indeed Duncan Mighty, who has remained silent about his reemergence into the limelight, confirmed it during the week in a chat with an online entertainment platform.
But his admiration and gratitude to Wizkid left a sour taste in some fans when he attributted the ultimate title to Wizkid.
‘I just want to say a big thank you to Starboy Wizkid because after Fake Love, it was a big turn around’, Duncan Mighty confirmed in a chat with NET.ng.
Speaking further, “I always tell everybody that producing a song with Wizkid is not like the usual music business where two artistes come together to do business or those who just want to know you for the music sake.

“There are few artistes who are like family to me- most of these collaborations are not collaborations where your management needs to go see each other.
It’s about visualising the magic which the artiste can bring to the song, and I [only] told Wizzy, “Mehn, this song, na only your voice I dey hear inside the song.”
So shout out to Starboy and my crew.”
Then he said, “Don’t forget that Starboy is number one in Africa. Respect.”
It should be recalled that a fortnight ago, Yemi Alade had tried to torpedoe the existence of a number one artiste in Africa, stating that five, not one artiste, had equal right to the position.
The controversial statement, which has fuelled wild debate among musicians and fans, and even enmity, was resurrected by Duncan Mighty.
