Nigeria with the population of 168.8 million are expected to exceed United States by 2050 (Omeh 2018).Nigeria has the second largest oil and gas reserve in Africa, Nigeria is Africa’s largest mobile market more than 125 mobile phone subscribers. According to Omeh (2018), 11 million Nigerians are on Facebook, this is the highest amount in sub-saharan Africa and with Nigeria’s expanding young middle class population, the demand for education services is increasing faster than Nigeria government can supply.

However, the contemporary Nigeria society are fleeing their own land that is flowing with milk and honey to scavenge other lands that don’t have half of the opportunities we have here and this is difficult to explain. Why would Nigerians leave the massive business opportunities in their own land and choose to travel, explore and navigate far and wide to slave, leaving the wealth back home for  Americans, South Africans, Lebanese, Indians, Chinese and even Egyptians to exploit? Why can we step out of the history that is holding us back and step into the new story we are willing to create?  What do we need to start up a business knowing our product better than anyone, knowing our customer and having a burning desire to succeed!

Agriculture is one revolutionary industry in the country where millionaires are currently being made. Nigerians both home and abroad are beginning to wake up to the huge potential in Agribusiness, a sector we have been neglecting over the years due to the discovery of oil. Now that the oil is drying up, people are beginning to look into other sectors of the economy to create wealth.

Farming is one of the 10 lucrative small scale businesses that are feasible with N50,000 as business capital; poultry farming, snail farming, media and show biz, selling online and dry cleaning.

Additionally, making fruit juice, car wash business, online advertising agency are unarguably some of the lucrative small scale businesses that are feasible because as the Nigeria’s online patronages keeps increasing, so is its advertisers.

Thousands of businesses in Nigeria are taking their things online to leverage the massive community of Nigerian internet users and market their products. This influx has created another business opportunity in Nigeria for digital marketing experts. One too can setup one’s online advertising agency in Nigeria today and make millions.
