Sleeping after eating

Published by

The ideal time to eat before sleeping is generally 2 to 4 hours before bedtime, allowing for proper digestion and reducing issues like acid reflux, indigestion, and disrupted sleep, though a light, healthy snack an hour prior can be okay if hungry.

Eating heavy meals close to sleep forces your body to stay active, disrupting your natural rhythms and potentially leading to discomfort or weight gain, so finishing meals well in advance supports better rest and overall health.
