A 32-year-old shop attendant, Emmanuel Fopossi, on Thursday appeared in an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly stabbing his colleague with a broken bottle.
The police charged Fopossi, who resides in Alapere in Ketu, Lagos with two counts of conspiracy and assault with occasioning harm.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Lucky Ihiehie, told court that the offence was committed on Aug.11, at 4 p.m at Ojoi-Omo Street, Alapere, Ketu.

Ihiehie said that Fopposi stabbed the complainant, Christian Eze in the leg, hand and chest with a broken bottle during an argument.
“The complainant who works in the same shop with the defendant told him that he would be sleeping over in the shop because he would be working late.
“This led to an argument and the defendant threatened to hurt the complainant.
“Later in the day, when Eze was working, the defendant and some boys entered the shop with bottles and attacked him,’’ Ihiehie said.
He said that the defendant also stabbed another shop attendant, Ifeanyi Chukwueze, who came into the shop to save Eze.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 173 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Magistrate, Mrs Ejiro Kubeinje, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Sept. 9, for mention.
