Shettima, other dignitaries to honour Olaolu Ali in Ilorin Saturday.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, among other important dignitaries, is expected to visit Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, this Saturday for the 30th-anniversary celebration of Ghalib Chambers, the Law Office of Mallam (Professor) Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN).

Also expected on the occasion are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN); the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, and former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN).

A statement by Kunle Akogun on behalf of the organising committee in Ilorin at the weekend indicated that the Ghalib Chambers’ 30th anniversary, which holds at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin, will feature a special lecture on “Presidential or Parliamentary System of Government: Where is the Convergence?” to be delivered by former Governor Raji Fashola of Lagos state.

The statement also said that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state will be the host, while the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, is the royal host.

Other programmes lined up for the celebration include a novelty football match between Ghalib Chambers and the Kwara NUJ team on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin, and dinner & award night on Friday, May 31, 2024.
