Shakar EL opens up on journey so far, next move

Nigerian singing sensation, Chukwudi Ezeagwa popularly known as Shakar EL, and as Shakar Nwa Mama by other admirers, is an Nigerian born Afrobeats artist who kicked off his music career while living in London United Kingdom.

He was one of the first artists to push and promote the Afrobeats culture in the UK with his first singles titled Orishirishi Swagga in 2008 and Anyhow in 2009 which became an instant hit in the Afrobeats scene in the UK and diaspora at large .

After the initial success in the growing Afrobeats industry in the UK, Shakar EL moved back to Nigeria in 2011 to pursue his dream in the motherland. Ever since that life changing move, he has been dropping Hot songs like Shimbadabo in 2013, Ewochimoh featuring Skales in 2014, Shutdown featuring Orezi , Olimango , Dangerous ft CDQ, Vibe N Bop, Vitamin U to name a few of his released bangers.

Shakar EL is known for his diversity in style and sounds which got him the  title ‘ King Of Orishirishi’ because his song never sounds the same. His unique, infectious personality and Super energy makes him an instant Fan favorite both offline and online.

Born in Enugu, Nigeria , Shakar EL the King of Orishirishi is more than just a Musician, he is a full Entertainer who is also a celebrity chef, fashion designer, writer, content creator, and music executive .

“Moving back to Nigeria has given me the opportunity to work with the very best Afrobeats producers like Flip Tyce, Teebeeo, Otyno, Shizzi, Fiokee, Kiddominant , Young John, among others. I also have an Online Cooking show tagged ‘the King of Orishirishi Show’ where I invite celebrities and fans to cook and dine with me,” he said.

He has played movie roles in Top grossing Nollywood movies namely ‘Gbomo Gbomo Express’ and most recently ‘Mambas Diamond’ featuring other Nollywood stars.
