Seyi Makinde promises to complete abandoned projects

GUBERNATORIAL candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Oyo state, Mr Seyi Makinde has assured that his administration will not abandon any ongoing project of the present government in the state if given the mantle of leadership in the forthcoming election.

Makinde made this pledge while answering questions from members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)  at the Emmanuel Baptist Church Oyo, in continuation of the party’s campaign tour to Oyo East/West and Atiba, on Wednesday.

Mr Makinde who explained that he is in the governorship race for good governance and mission to serve the people of the state, further stated that he would not hesitate to complete ongoing projects embarked upon by the outgoing government if voted into power.

According to him, “When you take over a company, it should be with both assets and liabilities. Since posterity will judge whatever anyone does, we will complete the ongoing and abandoned projects in the state”.

The PDP governorship candidate equally promised that his government would complete all projects initiated by his administration within four years in office, noting that he will embark on projects that will have a direct impact on the lives of the masses and not for the sake of it.

Mr Makinde, however, urged the electorate to shun vote buying and elect credible leaders ready to serve the people rather for their selfish interest.
