All roads will today lead to Based Civic Centre, Iyana Church, Ibadan, Oyo State as fast-rising gospel singer and music producer, Seyi Ajo will be launching his second studio in style. Ajo who started his music career in 2002 as a producer was the brains behind the albums of a number of gospel singers such as Lanre Teriba, King Rocker, Dare Melody, among others.
While speaking with R on his latest project, Ajo who is a sibling of the Ajogbajesu twins insisted that releasing his second studio album would be a dream come true, adding that plans have been concluded to make the event memorable.
The seven-track album, according to Ajo, featured the Adegbodu twins and Femi Solar and is set to change the dimension of his music career. Ajo, who is one of the artistes Femi Solar’s FS7 record label company is promoting, said working with FS7 gave him an insight into how music could be done effortlessly. “I feel proud working with FS7, the relationship is great and experience has been very rewarding.”
Born into a family of music, the light-skinned singer said album preaches patience, perseverance and love, adding that” I have delayed the album till today because I want to give my fans the best. Over the years, I have produced songs for Lanre Teriba, King Rocker, Dare Melody and a host of others, but the responses I have been receiving from those who have listened to the songs I have produced have been very positive. People have called me to release my secondf album and that’s why I have been working on this new album, which would be launched next week Sunday.”
Speaking on how long it took him to complete the work, Ajo said he started working on the new album about seven months ago after it became clear to him that his fans were ready to have a feel of what he has to offer. “It took me seven months to work on this album. I feel my fans are ready and I am very optimistic that this new work will push my career to the next level.”
Ajo revealed that gospel singers, Lanre Teriba, The Adegbodu Twins are expected to grace the event just as Chief Adedimeji Onifade from the US and Chief Adebayo Adewopo will also be on ground.
