The organisers of the Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (SERAs), have announced a list of 84 organisations that beat the deadline for the submission of entries for this year’s edition of the award.

Some of the organisations that made the list include: Fidelity Bank, GTbank, Diageo, Lafarge, Shell, Chevron, Tolaram Group, 9Mobile, FCMB, FrieslandCampina,  Access Bank, NetCare SA,  Airtel, Nigerian Breweries, NCC, Safaricom, iSON Group and Coca Cola.

Expressing delight at the quality of participation thus far, SERAs’ Media Officer, Mr Michael Ogunbanwo, noted that the fact that the entries recorded many first time entrants this year bore eloquent testimonies to the increasing popularity of the awards among corporate organisations in the country.

“We are indeed delighted at the quality of participation thus far. Noteworthy for us is the fact that we have so many first time entrants for The SERAS this year. For us, this clearly is an indicator of the wide acceptance of the works TruContact CSR Nigeria,  initiators of the awards, started some years ago.

“We have continued to receive enquiries from organisations from other parts of Africa seeking to participate. This informed our decision to extending the deadline for entries coming from the southern and eastern Africa regions till September 10, 2017,” he stated.

He added that the organisers had commenced the next stage of the awards, the verification exercise, that would see them move to the fields to verify and authenticate claims made by entrants and also gather visual materials for the judges’ panel.
