THE people of Sepeteri and Ago Amodu towns in Saki East Local Government Area of Oyo state on Tuesday pledged their support for the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, assuring him of their votes in the forthcoming March 2 governorship election.
The Sepeteri people spoke through the most senior traditional ruler, the Agoro of Sepeteri town, Chief Ganiyu Olaniyan, who is administering the town pending when a new Plugin of Sepeteri would be chosen after the demise of their king.
He informed the ADP candidate that they have been expecting him as he is someone that did so much for the town and his efforts cannot be forgotten especially in the area of infrastructure.
“We have been expecting you, we have not forgotten you or what you did for this town; you built the Odo Ogun bridge among other things and our deceased king spoke highly of you when he was alive, we will support you in every way because we know your antecedents and we know you will not forget us,” Chief Olaniyan stated.
The Ago Amodu people spoke with a common voice through their chiefs who are holding forth after the demise their king, Oba Adebowale Alao. They promised to support him because they know what he did for the community and because he was a good friend to the late king and the town as a whole.

Speaking, Alao-Akala reminded the people that when he promised to construct the Sepeteri-Igboho road, he did not fail in his promise, adding that “I don’t deceive people or give false promises. I am a man of my words and whatever I tell you, I will do.
“I won’t forget you and I will not take you or your support for granted. I am going to fix the Sepeteri-Ikoyi road if I am voted in. Your community means a lot to me because your deceased king was my good friend,” he stated.
He also promised to fix the Ogoro- Ago Amodu road which was the only one he was unable to do in the community during his first term. He told them not to allow false promises deceive them, adding that the vote is a family vote as he is a family member to Oke Ogun people.
“Remember I fixed the Trade to Ago Amodu and Ago Amodu to Owode. Once I assume office, the road will be part of my first assignments because of its importance to farmers,” he promised.
