Senators endorse, rally support for Big Brain Naija TV show

The senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Senator Osita Izunaso, and his National Assembly colleague, Senator Mohammed Onawo, representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District, have endorsed the Big Brain Naija reality television show.

The senators, in separate letters seen by the Saturday Tribune, did not only endorse the show but also called on well-meaning Nigerians and organisations to support it and make it a successful entertainment and educational show.

Senator Izunaso, who is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Markets and Institutions and chairman of Big Brain Naija, stated that his committee’s collaboration with the reality TV show has the potential to meaningfully impact young Nigerians and also contribute to the economic development of the country.

Senator Izunaso stressed that endorsing a programme like Big Brain Naija “will improve the global image of the nation through the empowerment and celebration of intelligent Nigerians.”

On the other hand, Senator Onawo, who is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, stated that he is confident that the Big Brain Naija show will provide a platform for intellect, problem-solving skills, and innovative ideas in a way that will build future leaders and drive progress in Nigeria.

Senator Onawo, while commending the organisers of the TV show, urged all stakeholders, including government agencies, corporate organisations, and the general public, “to support and participate in the laudable initiative, as it holds the promise of transforming lives and shaping a brighter future for our nation.”

Charles Awuzie, the Nigerian-South African-based businessman and founder of the Big Brain Naija reality TV show, appreciated the senators for their commitment to the project and their interest in Nigerian youths.

Awuzie stated that the maiden edition of the show will premiere in Abuja, adding, “We are currently at the pre-production stage and working out modalities with the partners and sponsors.”
