Senator Sandy Onor declares interest for Cross River governorship in 2023

Published by

Senator Sandy Onor of Cross River State Central Senatorial District, on Tuesday, declared his interest in contesting for governor of Cross River State, 2023.

“So I, Sandy Ojang Onor, professor of history, senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the one they call the original caterpillar, I formerly declare,  for the position of governor of Cross River State,  come 2023,” he declared.

The senator made the declaration at the state Peoples Democratic Power (PDP), Secretariat Complex, Calabar.

He advised the party faithful to avoid violence and ensure collaboration.

“So ladies and gentleman, I have spoken to violence, we don’t need violence, all we need is corporation and collaboration because at the end of the day, we all need to be together to win. I come in that spirit.

“Secondly, I am saying that we need quality. Three, I am saying that we need people here and outside of here. From Clement Abri to Donald Duke’s time to Imoke’s time, nobody ever became governor, who just depended on factors within Cross River state. So, I promise you people that I am always with you people”, he said.

This is the third declaration from the opposition PDP ahead of the 2023 governorship elections in Cross River State.
