Senator representing Borno South in the National Assembly, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has engaged in a name-calling fight with Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over Boko Haram resurgence in Borno.
Tribune Online reports that the Borno State Governor had raised the alarm over the resurgence of the Boko Haram terrorist group in the North-eastern state.
In a similar development, Ndume, in a recent interview with Channels Television, revealed that Boko Haram terrorists have taken control of three communities in the state.
In a follow-up post on X on Saturday, the senator applauded Governor Zulum for speaking up and called on the federal government to act swiftly to restore peace and security.
He wrote, “The resurgence of Boko Haram in Borno is alarming. I support Governor Zulum’s concerns and urge immediate federal action. This is a time for real solutions.”
Ndume also took aim at Bwala, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, describing him as “loud” and “disconnected from reality” while warning that the safety of lives in Borno must not be trivialised.
“As for Bwala, he remains a maga Dogo, loud but disconnected from the realities on ground. This is not the time for noise.”
Reacting to the senator’s remarks, Bwala lashed out at Ndume, labelling him a “villainous exploiter” who has failed to make any tangible impact despite holding office as a lawmaker from Borno State for more than two decades.
Bwala further accused Ndume of using proxies to send death threats to critics and alleged that the senator is working to cause problems between Vice President Kashim Shettima and the government.

He tweeted, “Are you not ashamed that over 120,000 of your kinsmen are still in Cameroon IDP at a time you served as senate leader and chairman of senate committee on Army and Defense? Can you go to your village now? Apart from grandstanding on national TV, pls tell the world what you have achieved as a lawmaker representing our people for 22 years? Mention 1 project here. Insidious menace.
“You are hunted by your ghost of non-achievement and going about telling people President Tinubu wants to replace you with me. I told you I am not interested in running for any elective position. Tell the world here today whether you have ever emerged from any primaries to secure a ticket. It has always been a handout for you.
“You are busy working hard to create a problem between the Vice President and the government. It has always been your stock-in-trade. Always using boys to send death threats whenever you are called out, but you call out president and everyone. Villainous exploiter.”
